1. Перенесите архив UPDATE-SuperSU.zip в корень карты памяти смартфона.
2. Загрузите S4 Mini в режим bootloader (download, загрузки).
3. Подключите смартфон к ПК.
4. Запустите Odin и уберите галки с F.Reset и Auto Reboot.
5. В поле PDA выберите скачанный ранее файл кастомного рекавери CWM — recovery-clockwork-6.0.3.7-serrano3gxx.tar.md5.

6. Нажмите Start и дождитесь окончания прошивки.
7. Отключите S4 от ПК, выньте и вставьте обратно аккумулятор.
8. Загрузите андроид в рекавери (Домой, Громкость+. Кн. Питание).
Если смартфон начал просто перезагружатся по кругу — прошейте рекавери еще раз.
9. Прошейте из меню recovery архив UPDATE-SuperSU.zip (install zip -> choose zip from /storage/sdcard1).
10. Перезагрузите смартфон.
11. Найдите в списке приложений SuperSu, если оно есть root права на Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini i9190 успешно получены.

Если у вас прошивка Android 4.2.2 и выше, тогда у вас могут быть проблемы с root из-за KNOX.

Теперь нужно нажать кнопку увеличения громкости. Если на ПК установлены все необходимые драйвера, устройство будет распознано и поле ID: COM окрасится жёлтым цветом;
— Нажав «Start», ожидаем, пока смартфон не перезагрузится.
— Теперь для установки модрековери потребуется выполнить ту же последовательность действий, только вместо файла GT-I9195_MF5_870901_kernel.tar.zip следует выбрать recovery-clockwork-6.0.3.7-serranoltexx.tar.zip.

После этого нужно будет попасть в меню рековери так:
1. Выключить смартфон;
2. Зажать и удерживать 3 кнопки: «увеличение громкости», кнопка включения и «Домой».
3. На экране появится вопрос, хотите ли вы получить root — следует выбрать «Yes»;
4. После перезагрузки необходимо зайти в Google Play, где найти и установить программу

How to Install CWM Recovery

1. 1. Extract the downloaded CWM recovery file for your device once.
   2. Open Odin
   3. Put your phone in download mode, in order to do so turn off your device by pulling out the battery or by long pressing the power button and wait for 30 seconds. Turn it on by press Volume Down + Home Button + Power Key simultaneously and wait until it shows you a warning. Press Volume Up to continue, now your phone should be in download mode.
   4. Connect your phone to the computer using the genuine data cable, as soon as your phone is detected the ID:COM should turn blue or yellow in your Odin screen depending upon your Odin version.
   5. Select the PDA tab and give it the extracted CWM file.
   6. Make sure that the options selected in your Odin are exactly as shown below.
   7. Hit start, the process should be fast, as soon as it ends you should see a PASS indicator in the Odin screen and your device should restart.
   8. Congrats! You have the ClockworkMod recovery install now. To boot into recovery, turn off your device and then turn it on by pressing Volume Up + Home Button + Power Key simultaneously and it should boot into the custom recovery now.

How to Root your Galaxy S4 Mini:

9. Hit start now and sit back, it will take a few seconds to flash the recovery and your device will reboot.
10. Press and hold Volume Up + Home Button + Power Key to access the TWRP Touch Recovery that you just installed.
11. You can backup your current ROM and do a lot of other things using the options in TWRP Recovery.
12. Make sure that you make an EFS backup and save it on your PC as well. Find the option in TWRP Recovery.
