It’s true that rooting your device is far less popular than the good old days. Stock Android grew up quite a bit and root is simply less appealing than it once was. Also, apps like Netflix, Pokemon Go, and Google Pay don’t work on rooted devices without some fun hacks for some dumb reason. However, there are still those who prefer the root experience and there are still plenty of excellent root apps that improve functionality and do stuff that unrooted devices can’t do.

If you like the sounds of that, but find yourself feeling a little anxious about “hacking” your much-loved (and probably expensive) device, then read on to learn everything you need to know about rooting Android. It’s actually easier than you might think.

For example, on Samsung Galaxy devices, this is done by applying a value to the /sys/devices/platform/sec-battery/power_supply/battery/siop_level system file, where 100 represents the highest technically supported charging rate.^[19][a]
• Ability to limit charging capacity to reduce battery weardown.^[20]

Some disadvantages of rooting include:

• On certain brands such as Samsung and Motorola, rooting can void one’s warranty.^[21]

• If used incorrectly, rooting can cause stability issues with the software or hardware. If the issues are purely software-based, unrooting the phone often can resolve these issues.

• Certain devices, including those from Huawei^[22] and any brand sold by Verizon^[23] lack the ability to get easily rooted, unless a privilege escalation exploit is found in the device’s operating system version.

Some rooting methods involve the use of a command prompt and a development interface called the Android Debug Bridge (also known as ADB), while other methods may use existing vulnerabilities in devices. Due to similarly modeled devices often having a multitude of changes, rooting methods for one device when used for a different variant can result in bricking the device.

Операционная система Android славится своей открытостью и гибкостью. Сторонние программисты написали десятки хороших программ, с помощью которых можно отключать лишние системные процессы, убивать ненужные фоновые программы, управлять автозагрузкой, подчищать мусор от удалённых программ и так далее. Однако большинство продвинутых функций этих утилит доступно только в том случае, если устройство рутировано.

Выбор велик, но он будет вам доступен только в том случае, если вы не боитесь экспериментов с системными файлами.

Это основные, но далеко не все возможности, которые предоставляет рутирование смартфона. Есть, разумеется, у этой операции и недостатки, связанные с безопасностью и стабильностью работы системы. Но в любом случае достоинств, на мой взгляд, намного больше.

1. Полное избавление от рекламы

Вот только DNS66 на некоторых прошивках оставляет на месте рекламы уродливые пустые белые блоки, а AdGuard хочет денег.

На смартфонах с root же проблема рекламы отсутствует. AdAway, бесплатное приложение с открытым исходным кодом, работает куда эффективнее всех no-root-альтернатив. Оно начисто вырезает любые баннеры и из приложений, и из браузеров, не оставляя от них и следа.

2. Эффективное создание бэкапов

Конечно, вы можете создавать резервные копии и без root-прав, благо приложений для этого существует достаточно. Но все они имеют ограничение: у вас есть возможность делать копии файлов, изображений, заметок, музыки, — но не системных настроек.

Поэтому в случае аппаратного сброса смартфона вам не удастся восстановить из бэкапа приложения с выставленными настройками. Придётся заново вводить учётные данные и проставлять нужные галки. Короче говоря, заниматься скучными и утомительными действиями.

Titanium Backup, популярное приложение для резервного копирования, может запросто восстанавливать настройки приложений и системы, если ему предоставить root-права, не создавая лишних хлопот.

3. Удаление ненужных приложений

От такого добра можно избавиться, удалив раздражающие значки с домашнего экрана или засунув их поглубже в недра меню. Но предустановленные программы всё равно будут занимать место в памяти смартфона или даже самостоятельно запускаться при перезагрузке.

Если же вы получите root-права, то сможете удалить любое приложение из прошивки. Тот же Titanium Backup, например, помимо создания бэкапов, позволяет полностью удалять или деактивировать встроенные программы.

Или можно вручную стереть лишние APK-файлы через Root Explorer. И на Android в итоге будут находится только те приложения, что вы установили сами.

4. Тотальная автоматизация

В Google Play есть много приложений, нацеленных на автоматизацию рутинных действий, например Tasker или Automate. В принципе, они работают и без root. Но для того, чтобы выполнять некоторые действия, например, включать 3G и GPS или управлять экраном, root-права им всё же понадобятся.

5. Увеличение автономности смартфона

Android-смартфоны известны своей прожорливостью в плане питания. Зачастую это связано с большим количеством фоновых процессов и программ, пожирающих заряд батареи.

Однако есть способы продлить жизнь смартфона от аккумулятора, один из которых — установить Greenify. Это приложение умеет автоматически отключать ненужные процессы, когда гаснет экран смартфона, сберегая память и батарею.

Строго говоря, для того, чтобы установить стороннюю прошивку, root-доступ не нужен. Но разблокировать загрузчик всё равно придётся — как и для получения прав суперпользователя.

Если говорить о рут правах для Android, то в принципе это то же, что для Apple джейл. В программном обеспечение от Apple, в отличие от продукта Google, уровень пользовательских возможностей сильно ограничен.

В чем плюсы и минусы Root прав на Andrid.

Первым делом я расскажу о том, какие минусы присутствуют в получении прав суперпользователя, а потом перечислю основные плюсы.

1. Первым и важнейшим минусом, который чаще всего пугает пользователей, желающих приобрести рут-права, является возможность превращения вашего аппарата в ненужный кусок пластика и металла. То есть, в коробку, которая не реагирует ни на какие действия. В народе такой девайс после неудачного получения прав суперпользователя называют «кирпич». Плюс в том, что такое возможно в редчайших случаях. Чтобы избежать этого следует аккуратно и скрупулезно изучать всю информацию по своему устройству, которую можно найти на тематических форумах. Ну и то, что смартфон не включился, совсем не означает, что нет способа исправить положение.
2. Второй недостаток после получения прав прошивка по воздуху обновляться не будет. Если после получения сообщения о появлении обновлений вы решите нажать кнопку «Принять», то сразу потеряете свои Root права. Но те, кто полностью сменил при их получении прошивку на кастомную спецверсию, просто не будут получать обновлений.
3. Потеря гарантии. Получать рут права не запрещается, но если понадобиться посетить сервисный центр, то их лучше удалить. В противном случае вам скорее всего откажут в обслуживании.

Чтобы понять, зачем root права на Android и нужны ли они вам, следует для начала узнать обо всех преимуществах, которые они дают.

1. Полную свободу действий. С момента получения рут прав, у вас, как у пользования появится возможность безграничного контроля над смартфоном. Не устраивает набор стандартных приложений? Можете спокойно все удалить. Не нравится привычная заставка при включении и выключении? Избавьтесь от нее. Вариантов множество: можно ограничить интернет-трафик, удалить рекламу в приложениях, скрыть меню или панель уведомлений и сделать еще уйму полезных вещей и различных изменений. Ну, конечно, если у вас имеются соответствующие программы. Вместе с тем, чтобы отключить вшитые разработчиками системные приложения совсем не обязательно получать права суперпользователя.
2. Второе важное преимущество — это гибкость управления и энергопотребления. Пользователям Андроида и так предоставлен довольно приличный выбор опций, связанных с управлением, но получив Root права они получают возможность еще больше расширить их. К примеру, с помощью определенных приложений можно корректировать даже скорость работы ядер CPU, замедлив их в необходимый момент, чтобы сэкономить энергию. Причем таким образом, что разница в работе будет незаметной.
3. Следующий момент — это возможность разогнать свое устройство. Кроме того, что пользователь может при помощи разнообразных утилит увеличить частоту процессора (при условии, что последний способен функционировать на повышенных частотах), он сможет пользоваться менее ресурсоемкими версиями прошивок, что также немаловажно.

Почему нужно подключать смартфон или планшет для получения Root напрямую к компьютеру?

В конце хотелось бы уточнить, что при проведении различных экспериментов, должен использоваться исключительно родной USB-кабель. Причем подключать его необходимо напрямую в компьютер, минуя любые хабы. Причина в том, что китайским подделкам, независимо от их цены, исключая фирменную периферию, присущ один существенный недостаток — на самом ответственном этапе они просто глючат, будучи не в состоянии справиться с такой задачей.

Это совсем не новость, даже прошивку телефонов Siemens осуществляли лишь посредством родного USB, хотя найти его было не просто, да и цены на него были приличные. Если не придерживаться этого правила, то получая, к примеру, Recovery можно превратить аппарат в дорогостоящий «кирпич», хотя сам по себе он должен предотвращать такие случаи. Поэтому следует быть очень внимательным!

Root‑доступ — это возможность работать с корневой папкой Android, термин пришёл из UNIX‑подобных систем. Пользователь с root‑правами может выполнять любые операции с системой и именуется «суперпользователь». Разбираемся, какие полезные возможности может дать root‑доступ на Android.

В чём плюсы и минусы root‑доступа

Активация режима суперпользователя на вашем смартфоне обеспечит вам несколько весомых преимуществ.

• Полное избавление от рекламы. Установите приложение AdAway, выдайте ему root‑права и забудьте о рекламе в браузере, программах, на YouTube и в других местах.
• Удаление мусорных приложений. В принципе, вы можете удалять предустановленные программы и без root‑прав, следуя нашей инструкции, но этот метод срабатывает не всегда. С root‑доступом же можно легко удалить любое лишнее приложение.
• Получение дополнительных возможностей с помощью модулей Magisk и Xposed. Эти программы могут сделать с вашей системой много интересного. 1. Сделайте резервную копию всего, что есть в вашем телефоне, потому что в большинстве случаев при получении root‑доступа форматируется память устройства. Убедитесь, что ваши контакты сохранены в аккаунте Google, фотографии — в облаке или на компьютере и так далее.
